Welcome to Hap House!Located on Barksdale Air Force Base in NW Louisiana, Hap House serves people with severe mental, emotional and physical disabilities from any and all income backgrounds. At Hap House, we train, employ and above all, nurture our clients. Our experienced and caring staff teach Hap House clients vocational skills and help them develop dexterity and cognitive abilities. Our clients also get lots of socializing time, so they can build social skills, which boosts their cognitive development and self-confidence. Plus, they have fun and who doesn't want that?
Once our clients have learned skills for a particular task, Hap House employs them! Our clients become active participants in the workforce. They earn their own income, which they can share with their families, which builds their self-confidence and a sense of pride. Our clients' families and friends benefit, too. They can work, run errands, and take time to take care of themselves while knowing Hap House is taking good care of their loved ones. And because Hap House accepts disabled individuals from any and all income backgrounds, families and friends do not have to risk their financial well-being to give their loved ones the quality care and services they need. |
If you have a relative or friend who could benefit from Hap House's program, please contact us by calling (318) 746-7470 or by emailing Executive Director Keisha Glover.
